Once you’ve narrowed down your top courses, make sure you check the course entry requirements and prerequisites. Some courses have a specific ATAR requirement, while others require you to have completed certain VCE subjects. It’s also good to familiarise yourself with any selection tasks for your course, such as folio submissions. The entry requirements for your degree can be found on the RMIT course page.
If you are worried you may not meet the entry requirements, or aren’t going to have an ATAR, it’s important to know that there are lots of other ways into university, for example an RMIT pathways option.
Pathways are alternate ways to get into a course by completing a hands-on certificate or diploma (also known as a TAFE course) before transferring into your dream undergraduate degree. They are a great way to land that perfect course, even if you don’t meet the course entry requirements.
You can search for an easy pathway to the course of your choice with our handy Pathways Finder.
